NGV Zone at Clean Cities Conference A Success
Based on comments from exhibitors and attendees, CVEF’s 50-booth NGV Zone at the 11th Annual Clean Cities Conference in Palm Springs was a big success. The road-trip themed NGV Zone featured 35 NGV equipment and service suppliers and a CVEF island exhibit that included a Honda Civic GX, a BAF Technologies-modified Crown Victoria taxicab and a Freightliner M2 with John Deere 8.1L natural gas engine. Due to unforeseen access limitations, a natural gas powered Thomas Built Saf-T-Liner school bus originally slated to be in the CVEF booth was stationed outside for attendees to tour during the Truck and CARnival ride-and-drive period.

A CVEF Market Advisory Committee (MAC) conference task force generated additional interest and attendance to the NGV Zone by sending out pre-show promotional html mailings and, on the show floor, featuring quizzes with prizes, a magician and refreshments.. In addition, over 120 industry advocates wore “NGVs NOW..” themed dress shirts on Tuesday as a sign of industry strength and unity.
