Across North America, public and private fleet operators are transitioning to Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV) as a cost-effective alternative to rising gasoline and diesel prices, a proven technology choice that exceeds ever-stricter emissions requirements and an effective strategy to reduce dependence on unpredictable foreign oil. With progressive public policies and incentives, this fleet growth is spurring greater public fueling infrastructure development, creating the confidence that draws environmentally aware and cost-conscious consumers to buy NGVs as well. Ample natural gas supplies, low natural gas prices, a growing selection of vehicle choices, favorable tax incentives and increased media exposure for NGV successes are creating near-overwhelming demand. This year’s NGV Conference-Summit tackled the tough questions – and sought industry input - about the steps we must take to make the most of the NGV market momentum and put in place the mechanisms that generate sustained future growth. Nearly 150 people participated in this 3-day event, which was a resounding success!

NGVAmerica’s NGV Conference-Summit immediately preceded the Solid Waste Association of North America’s (SWANA) annual WASTECON Conference-Expo at the Convention Center in Long Beach, CA, where we coordinated a tradeshow presence and hosted a private reception to maximize our attendees’ opportunity to engage this most important group of current and prospective customers.
