The Clean Vehicle
Education Foundation (CVEF) is conducting a survey of users
of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicles. The purposes of
this survey are to:
- determine vehicle users’ knowledge
of current CNG cylinder inspection requirements,
- assess the effectiveness of current CNG
cylinder inspection practices,
- evaluate the quality and effectiveness
of current CNG cylinder inspector training and certification
programs,
- obtain suggestions for improvements in
the current programs.
Please take a few minutes to complete the
attached survey. The survey is designed to collect information
for the Natural Gas Vehicle Cylinder Safety, Training
and Inspection program, underwritten by the U.S. Department
of Energy (DOE). This project includes a public awareness
campaign to remind natural gas vehicle (NGV) owners to have
their CNG fuel storage cylinders periodically inspected by
qualified inspectors, scholarships for technicians to undergo
inspection training and certification testing, collection
of data concerning in-service cylinder conditions and wear,
and coordination with newly developing cylinder safety standards
and practices for hydrogen powered vehicles.

Vehicle Cylinder Safety, Training and Inspection program,

testing scholarship, go to http://www.cleanvehicle.org/technology/cylinder.shtml.
